Weekly Kitchen Chronicles ( week in the life of a Private Chef)

Happy Sunday Everyone and Happy September! Honestly I don't know where the year is going I feel like I was just saying Happy new years. Anyone Else? This week was filled with tons of cooking and some fun discoveries in the kitchen and out.

First I have to start with my favorite new kitchen item. If you grew up in the 90's and remember the easy bake oven well I just discovered the adult version. Let me tell you it is the best. For one its a 6-1 oven and air fryer best part free of plastics, PFA's, PFOA's etc all the toxins that are harmful to our health and honestly things you want to steer clear from. Here is a great article if you want to learn more about them. This Wonder Oven is also so cute I have so far made cookies, roasted tomatoes and air-fry chicken. I can't wait to continue to create more recipes and get some air fryer ones to you because this is my first time ever using one!

As September is here that means Fall is closer and the produce is starting to change. A quick tip buy up your favorite summer produce now while it's still here and freeze for later use. One thing I continue to notice as I grocery shop daily is the prices are all overt the place. For instance: Chicken if you buy pasture raised it's a dollar a pound less than organic. Which is fabulous because the pasture raised is the best quality you can buy and Traders joe's has it back in there stores too.

One of my clients heads off to start his season in the next week or two. Which would entail me cooking for him here in LA then freezing all the food and shipping to him where ever he is playing. I really hope I get the opportunity too would help me grow and learn so much about the performance side of cooking!

One new recipe I made this week was a Mexican meatloaf. Think taco meets meatloaf and the best part came out delicious. I will share soon. It was my first time making it and my client loved it thank fully :) Its a sheet pan/one pot wonder.

On a personal note I have been doing therapy consistently the past 2 years and finally at a point where I am on a as need basis. It is so exciting but also a little nervous too. Navigating recovery will be a lifetime journey and so grateful to be in a healthy place right now with it. I am working on being more open and talk about my feeling but its hard!

I am excited for the coming weeks as I have some new fun things I will share and also start sharing more fall inspired recipes and game day eats!

If there is anything specific you are looking for please comment below I would love to hear from you!

Here is a great Steak recipe for this week and I highly recommend making more of the salsa verde as its amazing on everything from veggies to eggs.

Have an amazing week! Happy Cooking XOXO
