Few more tips -

Herbs - rinse and dry in a salad spinner or towel. For storage, there are two options: You can gently wrap them in a kitchen cloth (or a paper towel, if that’s what you have) and keep them in @stasherbags in the fridge. Or you can place the herbs in a jar with about an inch or two of water in the fridge and cover the top loosely with a bag. Also make a pesto in the beginning of the week and freeze what you don’t use!

Lettuce and Hearty Greens - Lettuce treat like herbs and try and eat asap just because they are so delicate. Hearty greens wash and dry then store wrapped in a towel in a bag in the fridge. If they are really wilted you can trim the bottoms and place them in a jar of water it will bring them back to life.

Sturdy Firm ( Root )veggies - They last about 2 weeks in the fridge just store them separate from greens as the natural gasses they produce will soften them quicker. Save scraps for soups and broths!

Softer veggies (mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes) - store mushrooms in an open paper bag, eggplant and zucchini keep well in an airtight bag, tomatoes keep on the counter they get really soft and lose flavor in the fridge.

Don’t forget about the frozen fruits and vegetables they are so easy to store and contain more nutrients than the produce we buy at the store!

One last tip try and use silicone bags or mesh veggie bags for storage the less plastic you use the better for your health!! I love beeswax wrap and stasher bags!
