My favorite meal prep hack is prepping ingredients My favorite meal prep hack is prepping ingredients, not meals. I never plan exact dinners and yet I eat at home all week!

My goal is to have nourishing meals that make me feel good through the week without the stress of what the heck to cook. Follow @chefdaniellechristy for easy nourishing recipes and meal ideas!

I do this by prepping components think roasted potatoes, cooked rice/grains, dressing, a sauce or two.

I keep things the same yet different. Each week sauces change, always have protein, and carbs change. Get more diversity- hello happy gut!

Spices are king for me I could literally cook the same thing ever day change the spices and feel like I’m eating something different. Not only that but spices offer micronutrients which are key in health!

Some ideas

Sauces- harissa, tahini , chimichurri, pesto, tomato sauce

Sides - cook once and freeze in servings sizes save time and money- rice, quinoa, Teff, buckwheat, potatoes, your favorite sourdough

Proteins - chicken, beef, lamb, salmon, sardines , canned tuna etc the slow cooker is your friend too

Save and share this with the grill lovers in your Save and share this with the grill lovers in your life!

Since shrimp cooks so quickly I find that tossing it in a sauce/marinade after cooking brings so much more flavor and it also doesn’t stick to the grill!

All I do is make sure the grill is oiled and season what shrimp with salt. Cook and toss right into my favorite marinade ⬇️

1/2 cup Olive oil @wearebrightland
1 Lemon juice and zest
1/2 cup Fresh herbs
1 tbsp Kosher salt @redmondrealsalt
2 cloves Grated garlic
1 tbsp Pepper

Whisk all together and toss with hot shrimp!

Save and share this for the next time you make tom Save and share this for the next time you make tomato sauce! Easy flavor win and can be ready in 30 minutes. My go to on making a delicious tomato sauce add a Parmesan rind while cooking your sauce adds so much depth of flavor! A chunk of carrot adds a hint of sweet to balance out all the flavors!

I also love to add Parmesan rinds to soups, stews, the water when cooking rice and grains !

A home cooked meals just hits different Not enough A home cooked meals just hits different
Not enough people talk about how amazing it feels to actually nourish yourself both mentally, physically and emotionally . Yes at times it’s like a chore to check off but when you truly learn the be present and bring joy to the act is when the healing starts.
Am I right or amiright?

Take it from me as someone who is in ED recovery it’s messy and hard but I know when I’m in the kitchen making something I’m excited to eat I am healing. The more cook the more the fear goes away and joy cComes in.

Start small doesn’t have to be elaborate but I promise you its worth it.
