Save for the next time you buy basil 🌿 Two th Save for the next time you buy basil 🌿 

Two things I always do is tear when using and store like flowers! 

It is better to tear your basil. This is because when you slice your basil, the plant releases enzymes that cause the once-beautiful green leaves to brown on their cut edges. Tearing however is said to keep the cell walls intact.

Don’t forget to store it like flowers with a bag over it so it lasts all week! 

* Top whole leaves onto pizza.
* Finish pasta with whole or thinly sliced leaves.
* Blend it into sauces.
* Puree it into soups.
* Chop it up to add to a salad.
* Use it to garnish avocado toast.
* Turn it into an ice cream topping! Jazz up vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries, basil, and a balsamic reduction.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein puppy chow! A trea Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein puppy chow! A treat I make one of my clients weekly! Save and share this with your chocolate loving friends!

All you need is 

 1/2 cup Peanut butter- any nut/seed butter works 
1/2 cup chocolate chips @hukitchen 
3 1/2 cups Gluten Free Chex Cereal 
1 1/2 cups chocolate protein powder @equipfoods (Chefdanielle) 
Pinch of espresso powder 
Pinch of Kosher salt @redmonrealsalt 

Melt chocolate and peanut butter in small sauce pan over medium heat. In a seperate bowl add Chex and pour over chocolate mixture and toss well. Then add protein to a bag and toss in Chex mix. Toss well and serve! Store in a glass container for 2 weeks!

Nothing worse than overcooked dry chicken. Use these tips to make sure you get delicious chicken every time! 

Cooking Chicken straight from the fridge - Place the chicken in a large bowl or casserole dish on the counter 15-30 minutes before you start to cook. Exact amount of time it will need to come to room temperature depends on the cut; a whole bird will take longer than boneless tenders.

Over marinating - Marinate for two hours max when citrus is involved. (Remember too, that the acid can react with metal, so refrigerate in plastic storage containers or bags.) 

Pound your meat to an even thickness this way it all cooks evenly and also let it rest 5 minutes before slicing 

Crowding the Pan - Make sure to pat chicken very dry, especially if skin is involved. Use a skillet large enough so the pieces don’t touch. Add just enough oil to coat the pan and heat over medium until shimmering. Season the chicken on all sides with salt and pepper and let it cook undisturbed. The chicken will stick slightly at first, but leave it be — you’ll soon see the golden magic start to happen. When the pieces are evenly browned on one side, flip and repeat.

For this dish I seasoned 1 lb breast with 2 tbsp olive oil @wearebrightland 1 tbsp lemon zest ,onion powder @burlapandbarrel , oregano, salt and pepper. Thinly slice red onion and pound chicken into and even layer. Sear in a skillet with olive oil about 2-4 minutes per side . Finish with lemon juice and allow to rest for 5 minutes and enjoy ☺️
